Delete your Kite Sessions account

In one sentence

You do the deletion yourself, inside the Kite Sessions app, at the end of the Profile tab, and what identifies you disappears immediately.

In the app, in four taps

1. Open Kite Sessions and go to the Profile tab, the last one in the bottom bar.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Delete account, the last item on the list, written in red.
4. Confirm with your password. There is no second chance: the deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you cannot use the app

If you uninstalled the app, lost access to the account or signed in with Google or Apple and have no password set, write to [email protected] from the account's email address, asking for deletion. We reply within 7 days and confirm when it is done.

What is erased

Immediately, and with no copy:

your name, your @ and your profile photo;
your email and your phone;
your password, your bio, your city, your level, your gear and your spots;
the devices registered to receive notifications, and the pending notifications.

What stays, and why

Your row in our database is not erased in full, and this is deliberate: erasing it would take with it the messages you sent in other people's conversations and the sessions that actually happened, rewriting the memory of third parties who asked for nothing.

What remains is an account with no person inside, shown as "Deleted account". There is no way to link it back to you: the name, the @, the email, the phone and the photo have already been removed.

The technical logs (date, time, IP address and which API endpoint was called) stay for 6 months, as required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet), and are then discarded.
